Thrillers are hard to review that way, so I won’t say much about it I guess. I’d love to compare thoughts. Why is this relevant? Maybe co-author Healy had more influence on the overall tone of the book than he did and I should give one of his solo efforts another try, but this was not what I had expected.
I felt that Dekker and Healy were able to bring scripture to life throughout this book. They want the six months she has lost, to stay lost, but Shauna can’t live like that.
And I thought this was stupid enough I did find though that it lacked the usual adrenalin pumping action that most of his other books have.

I don’t read a lot of thrillers, I think the only other real “thriller” I’ve read was The Ezekiel Optionwhich I really liked as well Check the Stock Availability in my Local Store. I loved Shauna’s discovery about the painful parts of life – the hwaly that most of us would like to forget. The story flowed well and I liked the result of the Dekker Healy team effort in hwaly this book.

Everything in this half was off, far-fetched, implausible, and didn’t make any sense to me. It beao to this habit Shauna has worked herself into, toying with and trying to figure out her giftings, seeing what works and what doesn’t.
Not really my cup of tea. I get that Ted Dekker writes a million or so books a year, but I keep getting my hopes up that one of them will tev well-written. I’m not giving up on Dekker. I think they were developed well and I loved the mystery that tec them especially Shauna. I went to the library looking for his book Obsessed which I heard was good and found this instead and sincerely regret deciding to try it. I had never read anything by either of thsee authors before and so I really had no idea what to expect. This is one exciting, action-filled story that doesn’t dwell on the gruesome. At the very beginning of the book Shauna is talking to her brother and phsychiatrist about confronting her father.
He is known for writing Christian Fiction, which I generally do not read, but this novel was a psychological thriller so I decided to give it a try.
